I had weeks to think about it. There was not an opportune moment to start creating images until now; returning to my main
residence after a period of self-isolation, the theme of “Awakening” cannot be more fitting.

During the period of self isolation, the relationships I have with elements of the physical environment presented themselves with increased significance. A bath would be less of a bath without the dance of folds and overlaps in motion – caressing and embracing, cleansing and caring.

I bear witness to the depth of light shedding clarity over the tangle of weeds, and this nourishes my being. There is room for intimate conversations in the garden I wander – secrets spilled in whispers. It becomes apparent – the type of “I” that emerges …

My position of privilege is evident. Now more so than ever.
